So you’re thinking about joining the gang for pole?
Read all about it here!
We know what you are thinking:
Will I be able to do anything?
Can I trust the equipment?
Will people laugh at me?
But I have no experience?
We will go as far as saying that we will GUARANTEE that you are going to surprise yourself with all the stuff you’ll breeze through in your first class!
People will fire you on and encourage you throughout, AND we all started somewhere so every person in the room knows exactly what you are going through. Really!
Our ethos is that you will start where, when and how you start and progress from there at your own pace. No strength needed!
Our team will know it’s your very first sesh so you’ll receive a warm welcome and a little chat at the start of your class to help settle nerves and put you at ease.
Pole is one of those where you are super nervous beforehand, but once you get going, you laugh, you’ll feel proud and you’ll be super pumped and happy you gave it a go afterwards!
Pole is for everyBODY who is looking for a rewarding and uplifting way of working out that yes, definitely is tough at times but this is what makes it worth it!
FAQ’s:
I’ve never done anything like this. Is that okay?
Totally. Most people who come to their first class haven’t either. You don’t need to be flexible, strong or “in shape” to start. Just come as you are and we’ll guide you through it.
Am I too unfit / too big / too awkward for pole?
Nope. Pole is for every kind of body. You’ll build strength and confidence over time; that’s what we’re here for. We don’t care what you look like or how you move. You’re already enough to start.
What do I wear?
For pole, skin helps with grip, so shorts are great. But if that feels too much, wear leggings and a vest; you can build up to it. Comfort and confidence come first.
I’m autistic, neurodivergent or get anxious about new stuff. Will I be okay?
Yes. Loads of our students and instructors are neurodivergent, anxious or just introverted. We keep the vibe calm and supportive, and we’re happy to let you know what to expect before you walk in. Just drop us a message.
Will I have to go hold my own weight down?
Not straight away! Everything is taught in steps.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely. Most people do. You’ll meet others in the same boat and we make sure everyone feels welcome.
What kind of classes can I try if I am new to pole?
We run beginners pole drop in classes or our 6-week new beginner course Road to Empowerment. The Road to Empowerment course is a great starting point and starts Wednesday 4th March 7-8pm . You can book here!
How do I book?
Head to our TeamUp booking page and sign up with your details, and then follow the instructions.
Still not sure?
That’s okay. Message us and we’ll talk you through it, no pressure.
FAQ’s
-
Absolutely! You don’t need to be strong or flexible to start - beginner pole fitness helps you build both over time. Every move is new beginner-friendly, and you’ll progress at your own pace in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
-
Wear shorts or leggings/joggers you can roll up and a fitted top with chest support if needed. Bring water, and avoid using lotions or oils on the day of class (they make gripping the pole harder). We will gradually transition to shorts and if you don’t want to wear them we can help you find grippy leggings!
-
That’s completely normal, and you’re not alone! Many people feel that way at first, but pole fitness is about building confidence, not just strength. Everyone in class is focused on their own progress, and the studio is a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel safe and supported. We specialise in neuro-divergent safe classes.
