A 6-week programme designed for complete beginners
Never tried pole before? This is where to start.
Our Road to Empowerment course is all about helping you build strength, confidence and body awareness in a space that feels welcoming, creative and fun.
You don’t need to be fit, flexible or have any experience. This course is designed to support you from day one. You'll be introduced to the core fundamentals of pole movement in a way that’s structured, safe and tailored to your pace.
Each week you’ll build on your skills with expert guidance, working on your strengths while growing more confident in the areas that challenge you. We offer variations and progressions within the course because we know that one size doesn’t fit all.
You’ll be part of a small group of beginners, learning together, encouraging each other and building real confidence along the way.
This course is ideal if you:
• Want to feel stronger and more connected to your body
• Prefer consistent weekly structure (same day and time each week)
• Are looking for a beginner-friendly space where you’ll be supported
• Enjoy learning something new in a fun, low-pressure environment

Instructor:
Jojo Fox, international pole performer, pole competition owner, Free Bird studio owner and head instructor. Jojo has been teaching for 9 years and doing pole for 11 years. She is neurodivergent and disabled and specialises in making classes accessible.
Come as you are. No experience needed. We’ll meet you where you’re at.

This is a 12-week beginner-friendly pole fitness course designed to build strength, confidence, and skill from the ground up. You’ll start with foundational moves like grips, spins, and basic climbs, progressing each week as you develop technique, endurance, and body awareness. No prior fitness or dance experience needed—just a willingness to try something new!

Wear either leggings or joggers and a fitted top or supportive top. For the first few weeks you won’t need leg grip but as time goes by, to progress you’ll need leg grip. If you don’t want to wear shorts that’s fine, we can help you find grippy leggings!
Bring water and an open mindset—this course is about pushing past self-doubt and discovering what your body is capable of!

You’ll build strength and confidence over time in a supportive, non-judgmental space. Everyone starts somewhere, and this journey is all about celebrating progress, no matter where you begin.
